For the parents, grandparents and caregivers finding ways to make an ordinary day feel a little easier.

Where the idea began

Familiar pictures. One less thing to prepare.

Photo Play began with a wish from a parent’s point of view: what if a picture a child already loves could make preparing something to play with a little easier? A favourite toy, a family pet, a small discovery on a walk — a starting point already close to hand.

Some days have room for a shared project. On others, setting out a page and some crayons is plenty. We hope Photo Play can offer both: moments to enjoy together, and a few easier minutes in the middle of a full day.

Play can begin with a baby looking at a familiar picture and hearing a grown-up name it. As children are ready, it can become colouring, piecing together a puzzle or imagining a story. Choose what fits your child, with a grown-up nearby and helping with any cutting.
