Free printable story drawing prompts for kids
Each draw-a-story page places the pack’s line art in the first frame and leaves room for what happens next: First, Then and At the end. Children can draw, tell or write the story. There is no single right answer.
How to play
- Look at the picture in the first frame together and give the character a name.
- Ask what happens next and let your child draw the middle scene.
- Draw an ending, then retell the whole story from the first frame.
Children who are not writing yet can tell the story aloud while a grown-up writes a few words. Older children can add their own sentences in each frame.
